The July 2026 update — version 3.2 — made Notion AI genuinely cross-workspace for the first time.

It can now pull context from linked databases, attached documents, calendar entries, and connected tools like Slack and Google Drive — and give you answers that are actually relevant to your work, not just the page you have open.

The big additions:

Notion Agent — An autonomous AI that executes multi-step workflows inside your workspace. Tell it to research a topic, build a database, create a project tracker, and populate it with tasks — and it does it without you clicking through each step.

AI Meeting Notes — Joins your meetings, captures summaries, and extracts action items directly into your Notion workspace. No separate tool. No copy-pasting.

Multi-model access — You can now choose between GPT-5.2, Claude Opus 4.5, and Gemini 3 depending on the task. Or let Auto mode pick for you.

Enterprise Search — Search across your entire Notion workspace plus connected apps in one query.

If you're already living in Notion all day, this update makes the AI actually useful for real work — not just individual pages.

Free — Unlimited pages and blocks, ~20 AI responses total as a trial. No way to buy more.

Plus — $10/user/month (annual) or $12/month. Limited AI trial only. Full AI not available.

Business — $20/user/month (annual) or $24/month. Full Notion AI bundled in — Agents, Meeting Notes, Enterprise Search, multi-model access.

Enterprise — Custom pricing. Advanced security, SAML SSO, zero-retention API.

Custom Agent Credits — $10 per 1,000 credits, billed on top of Business/Enterprise. Required for heavy agent use.

⚠️ The important thing to know: Notion killed the standalone AI add-on in May 2025. If you're on the Free or Plus plan hoping to just bolt on AI — that option is gone. Business at $20/user is now the minimum entry point for real AI access. For a 10-person team, that's $2,400/year minimum.

If you're already a committed Notion user and your team lives in it every day — the Business plan is now a genuinely strong value. You're getting a full AI agent, meeting notes, and multi-model access baked in. That's a lot for $20/seat.

If you're not already deep in Notion, this isn't the reason to start. The pricing only makes sense if you're replacing multiple tools with one workspace. If you just want AI writing help, you can get that cheaper elsewhere.

The wildcard worth watching: Custom Agent credits have no rollover and Notion doesn't publish what each action costs in credits. Budget carefully before letting your team run agents at scale.

Best for: Teams already using Notion as their primary workspace who want AI that actually understands their whole operation — not just one document at a time.
